Thank you for your interest in the Adirondack Ultra Fondo. This ride is part of the Adirondack Ultra Challenge and all mileage will count toward the ADIRONDACK ULTRA CUP. The field is limited to 25 solo riders and 10 relay teams, so if you want to enter, don't delay! Placings will be determined by overall time.

This is a very challenging ride that will take us along the northern sections of the Hudson River, almost to its source, and into the heart of the Adirondacks. Along the way, we'll ride past some of the most famous lakes in the Adirondacks and over numerous hills and mountains, including: Lake Luzerne (once the home of the national cycling championships), Indian Lake, Lake Durant, Blue Mountain Lake, Long Lake, Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, Lake Placid (host of the 1932 and 1980 Olympics) and Lake George, to name a few.

There will be 13,423 feet of climbing, so please be prepared. Lights will be required and most riders should expect 4-10 hours of night riding and up to 13 hours if you take the full time limit. There will be limited van/sag support for this ride and there are services available on the route, with bike shops located in Lake Placid.

Relay teams may consist of two, three or four riders. The ride will be broken up into four sections, with one team member riding one section of the course at a time. Rider exchanges may only take place at designated loctions at the end of each section and once a rider starts a section, they must complete it before the next rider takes over. Riders on teams of less than four may ride more than one section. Teams may consist of any combination of age and gender. Each section is between 65-70 miles:

Schuylerville-North Creek: ~ 70 MI
North Creek-Tupper Lake: ~ 65 MI
Tupper Lake-North Hudson: ~ 70 MI
North Hudson-Schuylerville: ~ 70 MI

We'll have bagels, snacks and drinks at the start, as well as pocket food and gels, drinks and bars to take along with us, and in the support van. We'll also have a small selection of lights, batteries, tires, tubes and other merchandise for sale, in case anyone forgot something or needs anything. Riders may also use their own support crew, which may provide aid via pedestrian hand-offs anywhere on the course, traffic permitting.

To help you prepare, we've created a rider checklist. To view it, click here.

We'll start from our event director's home at: 7 Pearl Street • Schuylerville, NY.  This is a residential neighborhood, so please be courteous when arriving and departing. For travel directions and parking instructions, click here.

If we have not reached our rider limit, same day registration will be available beginning one hour before the start, and we're pleased to announce that we now accept credit cards for on-site registration and purchases.
